University of Tennessee names interim chancellor at Southern
PULASKI, Tenn. (AP) – The new Campus of the University of Tennessee will get an interim chancellor from July 1.
The University of Tennessee announced Thursday that Linda C. Martin would enter the role in Ut Southern after the current Foreign Minister Mark La Branche said she plans to retire from her.
Martin is currently the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the success of the students of the UT System. She has also served as an interim vice president of the Institute of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee.
Bernie Savarese, associate vice president of the students’ success, will assume the position of interim vice president of the Institute of Agriculture. At the same time, Martin serves in Southern, according to a UT Press.
UT Southern opened last year after the University of Tennessee system acquired Martin Methodist College. The search for a new chancellor will be released in January.
